Would it really be to much to get a realistic looking gun prompt and add in the flash nuzzle via special effects?
Yes
Much easier to get a real gun and not load it with real fucking bullets

Yup. Just don't have live ammo around still check the gun before handling it. Check it yourself!
I can't get over how fucking stupid that is. He's the kind of idiot that would look down the barrel after a misfire or walk in front of a missile guidance radar dish.

I think there's going to be much more than a lawsuit here. This wasn't a freak accident. This was clear negligence. The crew were already complaining about lax gun safety on the set even before the shooting.

Well, someone's going to jail but unfortunately it won't be Baldwin

That's actually what people at Hollywood are now demanding in response, along with attempts to ban live ammo outright on set.
I suppose fake CGI flashes would work great with the fake CGI blood some action flicks are already using.

Demonstrating once again that they're a community of complete idiots.
For all the money and effort it takes to make a fake gun
look realistic, you might as well get a real gun and, y'know, not shoot real fucking bullets out of it

This is moot considering live ammo shouldn't have been on the set in the first fucking place

This is just, once again, Hollywood's attempt to shield Baldwin. This didn't happen because the existing safety regulations were inadequate. This happened because Baldwin and the amateur hour crew refused to follow them.

I had some fun trolling SJWs on Baldwin's videos on SNL's YouTube channel.
It's probably bad karma, but I had to get that out of my system.
Baldwin's been acting like a piece of shit longer than most of you have been alive and he's always gotten a pass for his bad behavior.
