Re: Blizzcon lol
The new plebberwatch 2 has been a hilarious shitshow as well. Most people can't get online. Many claim the servers are being DDoS'd, but who knows honestly. The high traffic (since the "nu" game is free2pay) could easily be overloading Jizzard's servers.
From those few who have been able to get matches, it sounds like the game is overwatch 1 but with all the new content locked behind paywalls.

That's literally it. It's just Overwatch 1 + graphical updates + expansion, made all the more transparent by Overcucked Wann getting a forced "upgraded" to 2.

Just in time for the Overwatch 1 servers shutting down, too.

GaaS was never meant to benefit gamers. It was designed from the ground up to take away power from them.

Game publishers want to create hit games that make a lot of sales. But that causes the problem that then the consoomer base only wants to play the one good game they made, rather than buying all the shit ones they made after. So what do? Obviously, you should deliberately ruin your old products after x amount of time, to force the old playerbase to move to the next product and consoom that.
Racing games, as I recently discovered, have fully adopted this model. You cannot play Forza Horizon 1 at all anymore without a physical copy. The game has been delisted from stores and even redownloading is made as inconvenient as possible. Many of the even newer racing games are always-online, so when the server goes down, the game will be literally unplayable. The purpose of all of this is to prevent gamers who enjoy a game from enjoying it for too long.
Imagine if the creators of The Shield wanted to make some faggy new show. But their viewerbase only wanted to watch The Shield. They would only watch reruns of The Shield over and over but never try the new show. So then the creators of that show think of the brilliant move of delisting The Shield from all streaming services and removing it from every storefront. Now our viewerbase is forced to watch our new shit, right?
Except it doesn't always work that way in other media. Vidya gaems have a uniquely stupid userbase of consoomers.

Great. If the Chinese market is gone for good, they can fully embrace the woke. They've got some catching up to do after Apex Legends raised the bar with a troon character.

All that ass-kissing Blizzard did towards the chinese market, and now they quietly slink away, defeated.
