Cuckfinder is based on an actual tabletop campaign thingie, and it has certainly become better than the Infinity stuff after they patched in an actual turn-based mode, so you can finally play your Donuts & Doritos game as Gygax intended.
Dunno much about Pillars of Eternity. Felt like a rather underwhelming Infinity Engine clone.

It's also not a bad game. Get some mods (specially the Craft Magic Items and the Respec mode if you're going to play on Hard or Unfair) and play the turn-based mode, and it's serviceable enough.

Fair enough, but your companions come with pre-built in levels that aren't exactly optimal, so If you want to keep them (instead of hiring custom made mercenaries, which is an option), then it's a good idea to respec them from those initial levels.

See, you wouldn't even have this issue if they'd ripped off Icewind Dale instead of Baldur's Gate, aka ditch premade companions.
But I guess they wanted to attract the Bioware crowd with riveting characters like the nihilistic dwarf and that one dyke who is too depressed to become a paladin.
Or that bard loli who insists on staying in the party, with or without your consent.

Pathfinder is a good game if you are willing to bear with a party of cunts who tell you how male gaze and their patriarchal villages oppress them, and how happy they are of not being married with children.
I'm not.
Pillars of Eternity 1 is a good but generic Baldur's clone, while 2 is also ultra woke - every leader in the game is either a woman or replaced by a woman for being corrupt and incompetent, and there's an allegedly genderless deity who also is a woman.
Just play Bastard Bonds and roleplay as a cannibal or the Booty Warrior, and call it a day:



The game is shown at 20:35, and it's better than it looks at first, it's like an improved isometric amiga rpg.
The dev draws bara hentai, so i expect a lot of muscly fags in the party and the option to date them (there are a lot of tits in it too though), but the only bad reviews on steam that i saw were written by clowns who accused him of being an evil gaymurgayte nazi, which is a good sign.
