Isn't this based on that Adventure Path were you lead a literal crusade against illegal immigrants from the Abyss? I'd love to see that in woke.
I watched a little of Razorfist's stream and at some point in the game there's a "no weapons allowed" festival, then the demons appear out of nowhere and kill everyone because no one has weapons to defend themselves.
I would call something like that based, but sjw writers aren't famous for their self-awareness.

I'm pretty sure banning 1d10 damage heavy crossbows should be the top priority.

Surely the "no weapons" sign is gonna stop a Wizard, Cleric or Druid from killing everyone at the party with a flick of his wrist.

What's next? Treating the assassination of a king as a big deal, is if the guy didn't own a stash of diamonds to be used as ingredients in a resurrection spell?
I love it when D&D writers have little idea about D&D.

Good thing that monsters and wild beasts totally respect rules like that as well.

Wild animals very rarely wield swords and crossbows in the first place. If we're counting monstrous humanoids as monsters then you might have a point.

Granted, one of those wild animals could be something like an awakened wolf with levels in hexblade, in which case you could have a valid point in regards to the animals.

And it's well known a housecat has the Hide/Move Silently ranks and sufficient natural attacks to invisibly slaughter an entire village of NPCs.

I was more thinking about the non-aggression pact that's implied in a weapon-free zone but point taken.

Many of them have natural weapons that outperform swords and axes anyway.
