I played the RE4 remake demo. I really hate the hand holding in it. The stupid yellow paint on everything that can be interacted with along with the X's on every other interactive element. Shooting an enemy in a particular part of their body also brings up an arrow icon, indicating that you can perform a melee action on them. Didn't need that shit in the OG RE4, but whatever.

OG RE4 showed you which objects were interactive by making them a *slightly* brighter color compared to the background. That was all you needed. It was perfect as-is.

But of course, all modern games are more similar to The Last of Us than to any game made previously.

For once i don't care, just because a campy tone and story is something that i want and expect from a Yakuza or a Devil May RUN UP ON A NIGGA, not something that i wanted for RE4.
