At this point, I'm so fucking sick of 8 bit graphics. Why does it always have to be 8-bit? Why always NES? Or maybe snes if you get lucky.

There were so many other beautiful retro game styles. Why not emulate retro arcade games? Or pc engine games? NeoGeo home console? Indie games emulating the NES are usually a bad sign, like a mark of shovelware.

I agree. There were so many imaginative games that pushed the graphical limits of those old 16 and 32-bit consoles back then. Stuff like Earthworm Jim, Rayman, and the like. Meanwhile, these hack indie fucks continue to churn out shit that looked like ass in 1988. Hell, look at the 1998 Saturn game Super Tempo. That game still looks amazing today.
