Immortal Ellie was like that because they also copied the immortal partner from Biofag Infinite. It was so Ayn Rand-ian that even Atluas shrugged.

Even in the first game, Naughty Dog were absolute hackfrauds of the highest order. Nothing in their game worked the way they promised it would pre-release. Everything was extremely dumbed down or the mechanic was removed entirely. Invincible/invisible/unhearable Ellie + detective vision was their admission they fucked the stealth beyond all possibility of recovery, so they slapped the band-aids on it and shipped it out in hopes nobody would care. Most of the soys didn't because they don't actually PLAY games.

Sucker Punch at least made Infamous 1, which was good.
