I have a DVD like that for the first Xenosaga game.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 5:07 pmCome to think of it, I think the version of MGS3 I got came with a DVD that was basically all the cutscenes, with some gameplay footage to connect it together.
Kojima was a mistake. There, I said it.

Re: What are you playing?
Well if Im looking for objective serious reviews of course im not going to type in some troll review search term. Did come across a few in the sidebar on the right but hardly any of them dont counter their hate with saying some parts are still good for example. And others made it seem like most of the complaints stemmed from destiny 1 players which I never played so I wouldnt have the reused assets complaint.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2017 1:12 amBut it did. Type in "Destiny 2 sucks" in YT and you get hours worth of people shitting on the game top to bottom.AngrySpoonySnob wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 5:28 pmWhy doesnt destiny 2 get any shit for being 20 times as shallow and 20 times worse than borderlands 1 and 2?
Or are you asking about DHI? I didn't bother with it in the first place and I guess most here didn't.

Oh yeah, I got that one with Xenosaga 2. Makes a lot more sense in this case considering thatGuest wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2017 12:42 pmI have a DVD like that for the first Xenosaga game.
a) The first game was never released in Europe (come to think of it, neither was the third AFAIK)
b) The second game just throws you into the plot without explaining shit, like, ever.
That MGS3 DVD was just Kojima going "Here's the movie if you don't want to bother with the game".

My PS2 copy of MGS 3 was a buggy piece of shit. I had to save every five minutes like an asshole because it would randomly freeze, and the cutscenes would skip and slow down and the dubbing was always way off.

Reminds me how I managed to scratch my first copy of FFX so badly that you couldn't finish the part where they crash Yuna's shotgun wedding because one of the ingame cutscenes would just refuse to end. Also liked to freeze during (or was it shortly after?) the Shiryuu battle, though that was less consistent.
At least I got a new version. My copies of Donkey Kong Country 3 and WWF No Mercy on the other hand love to eat saves. Especially No Mercy.

Went to an Entanglement center in Calgary (not just arcades but has billiard, table tennis or ping pong, air hockey, karaoke, a restaurant and a bar all on two floors) and played some arcade Mario Kart gameand a game called Target Bravo: Operation Ghost. I had fun

Re: What are you playing?
I think my favorite part of Black Flag is honestly the Shanty library. The ship combat is fun, but not quite as good as maybe I was expecting, and the on-foot combat was better.
The parkour really "feels" improved from AC2's clunkiness. The assassinations take on a speedrun-frenetic quality with the addition of tree-climbing, tall grass and running assassinations which chain into more. In my opinion, the best gameplay parts of Black Flag are the warehouse missions, assassinations and some templar hunts.
The sailing honestly gets a bit old. It has that same problem as Wind Waker where you just spend too much time at sea. You can fast travel, and I do, but the game is still mostly sailing. It would be nice if you could ram and board enemy ships NO MATTER their health level, because that would be one way to skip a lot of naval combat in favor of hand-to-hand, and they could just make the boarding actions more difficult if you chose to do that.
The improvements in the parkour, however, were so notable a step up from AC2 that I decided to give the other games a shot that were made with this engine. Namely AC3 and AC Rogue.
My other big problem with AC4 is Kenway's fucking double cutlasses. They look fucking retarded, they're not historically-accurate and you don't have nearly as much variety for weapons in AC4 as you do in other games. You can use dual cutlasses, you can use wristblades, or you can use FUCKING NOTHING. You can use weapons like boarding axes and bayoneted rifles if you pick them up off enemies, but you can't buy any or keep them on you. It's a shame they made the combat feel a lot better, but then stripped your options down to some shite cutlasses. I wouldn't even care about only 1 weapon type if they'd let me not have a 2nd cutlass out. Fuck my life.
Reminds me of when I saw the DLC for that "Freedom Cry" expansion of AC4. "Oh man, that guy has a cool machete, maybe you get to use other weapons in this DLC?" So I look into it and it sounds like the machete is the ONLY sword type weapon adewale can use, for some fucking reason. I'm sure you can pick shit up, but buying weapons for fashion is a big part of these kinds of games for me.

I bet they also hold their machete and cutlasses in a reverse grip. That's how you know they mean business.

Re: What are you playing?
Good luck finding a review of Destiny 2 without some dick sucking. We live in an age where those fucks are actually paid to cover and stream those games.AngrySpoonySnob wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2017 5:45 pmWell if Im looking for objective serious reviews of course im not going to type in some troll review search term. That being said, many who streamed Destiny for it's entire run dropped Destiny 2. The short of it is that it's basically as shit or even worse than the first game was on release and that they took out all the grind. Not in a good way but more in the way that there's no point in playing the game any further after two days or so. It's a loot-based shooter without good loot.
And for some retarded reason the balancing of the weapons is bound to the versus multiplayer mode. It's what killed weapons in Destiny 1 and now in two the weapons are even worse right from the start.

But yeah, the chanties are the best thing about the game by far.
