SFV is one of those games that never actually leave Early Access.

I just know cody is coming out soon so I'm gonna give the game one more chance, I wouldn't care if he's bottom tier as long as he's fun and cody

I'm honestly tempted to play SFV because of cody, but then I remember ultra SFIV and alpha series exist.

Just don't go ahead and spend money. Wait until the (shit) character is out and look at how shit they make him. I bet there's no Bingo in SFV for him.

It's still kind of slow dude. Alpha 2/3 is much better.

I just like a lot of the little things about ultra sf IV as opposed to previous versions. Ultra double nerfs the damage of ultras in exchange for more flexibility, which is cool. Ultra added Hugo, who I main. Ultra isn't as broken as previous versions, like fucking vanilla sagat and seth. Giving characters 2nd ultras also helped characters who never had a good ultra, but I think that happened in super anyway. Omega mode is a really cool addition that gives you access to motion Chun and motion Dee Jay, among others.

But hell, it's still fucking SF IV innit? I think the version I bought before this was Super, and I definitely consider Ultra a huge improvement over fucking Super.

I will say that the game seems much, much better than SFV. SFV appears very unbalanced and full of jank.

Capcom could've probably avoided a lot of backlash if SF5 was just SF4 Turbo with Ultras either nerfed or removed entirely.

In other news, KoF14 just got progressive and diverse as fuck. The new batch of DLC characters include a strong, independent, Hijab-wearing Muslim... shadow witch?

(The theme's pretty rad tbh.)

Ultras need complete removal. Give each character three supers and fuck your shitty comeback mechanics. Getting rewarded for getting your ass beat is why fightan is getting worse in the first place.

Here's an idea, Capcom: Develop in-house again. Maybe get some people that aren't the most retarded inbreads you can find and build a studio for fightan. It works for MonHun, which is the only reason you didn't eat shit yet. The artillery strikes are coming closer.
You couldn't even pay EVO enough to get your less than a year old MvCI into the roster. DraganballZ killed the shit out of it. It wasn't allowed to be trash but still see play because it's the only option. The same can happen to SF real qiuck.

See, I agree Ultras need to be removed, but if they just nerf the shit out of their damage instead, all you really get for an Ultra is a mediocre reversal/combo ender that has its own meter tied to you being bad at the game. And I couldn't hate on that because then all Ultras become is another option in your tool kit for a close game. A scrub can't rely on an ultra if the damage is about the same as an EX with some slight invincibility. Oh what's that noob? You hit me with your reversal ultra? Nice job, I take a little bit of damage and you get some oki. GG. I can get the same thing from my reversal ex dp.

Ultra Double nerfs ultra damage, but the bad thing about that is ultra double is optional. What they should do instead is nerf all ultra damage and make it so picking ultra double only further nerfs the damage by some tiny amount, so that almost every character with 2 decent ultras is better off picking Double rather than choosing one or the other. That would relegate ultras to a utility tool rather than a legitimate comeback mechanic.

The situation we have now is that most people don't go ultra double because they don't like losing damage. Fuck that! They should lose a ton of damage either way. An Ultra should be like a slightly better EX. The only ultras I'm comfortable with having good damage are 360s because they're fucking 360s and 360s already do shit-tons of damage raw anyway. For example, hugo ultra 1 is a 360. Well, hugo fierce 360 already does a fuckton of damage. So ultra 1 on hugo should just do a little more than hugo fierce 360. There, problem solved. Also ultras shouldn't do more damage if the meter is completely full. Fuck that. It should do the same damage whether the meter is half or full. :lol:

Not that ultras on Hugo are even good. I always pick double with him because I don't need the damage and don't need the ultra. Double just means I can take whatever comes my way. Ultra 2 keeps people from jumping too much (he already has backbreaker and stand fierce though) and Ultra 1 is whatever since raw 360 does so much damage without meter already. Hugo's super is way better than either of his ultras, which may be part of why I like him so much.
