The neo geo port collections are fucking terrible. They have load times everywhere and I hear some of the fighting games even have added input delay.

I'm not talking about single-game full arcade ports. I'm talking about those collections of games. Garou runs perfectly well on my PSTV, but SNK volume 1 collection sucks shit.

It depends on the developers. SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 and 0 are junk, but the series-specific ones on PS2 were pretty good.

It depends on the developers. SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 and 0 are junk, but the series-specific ones on PS2 were pretty good.

True enough. The MS collection had added loading, which sucked, but wasn't unplayable. Arcade Classics were awful. The fighting game anthologies had mixed reviews. But the specific single-game ports, like KoF '98 UM were good.

Darkstalkers 3 in particular is kind of underrated. You don't see tournaments that often and the game is amazingly good.

I read somewhere DS2 players refused to move on to DS3 because it felt too different or something like that. Character balance being worse than DS2 and new characters looking like animu waifus didn't help too I guess.

Though nothing beats Neinhalt in the name department. Make it less grammatically dodgy, and he's the "Nonstop Winner".

That's why Super Robot Wars is my jam, especially Original Generation 2. Nothing beats Rätself Feinschmecker in his Aussenseiter blasting the crap out of the Einst Stern Regisseur with his Lanze Kanone.
