The speed of the rockets was probably for gameplay balance. They do a lot of damage and ammo is relatively plentiful compared to other heavy weapons.

It would be a pain in the ass in death match if the rockets were faster. Might also have been an engine limitation.

Pretty sure the engine had the blast processing power for faster rockets. The BFG is like technically 41 projectiles per shot.

I read the Kiwi Farms thread. Basically it had been run for one old-timer for 20 years. "People" offered to "help" keep the site up to date and he begrudgingly accepted. These people turned out to be SJW Discord troons and made his life hell. And so he said fuck it and is shutting everything down.

I've been in similar situations to this guy, so I really get where he's coming from.
