Steve1989MREInfo is a very well-known channel. If you've ever wondered what some military ration tasted like, you have more than likely stumbled over his channel at some point.
But this one, I found especially interesting:
Because usually, you have no idea how accurate someone's evaluations of flavour are, unless you've both had the same thing and you've heard their opinion on it.
But this time, I do.
Both the chicken soup and the gulasch are available in just about any large supermarket here. They are usually carried in the Eastern European section.
The soup is nothing super special, it was something I made when I was super hung over. The electrolytes were just what I needed. Cheap, fine, nothing special.
The gulasch, however, is fan-fucking-tastic! Something that cheap has no business being that good.
Could you make a better one? Yes. For 50 cents a 300g tin? Hardly.
It's somewhat spicy, very umami, has a serious meat content and is miles better than what your dumb ass could make from a тушенка and an onion for sure.
