Re: Hollywood Rape General
Season 1 looks like hot garbage, though. Gotta give him that at least.

Re: Hollywood Rape General
Season 1 is innocuous bad, besides is very short so by season 2 you forgot about of most that stuff. I remember the first christmas and the almost an hero homer episodes.
Re: Hollywood Rape General
It actually was never good, but by the standards of the show the first few seasons were less terrible than the rest. The period between 2000 - 2007, when the movie forced them to bring back old writers and rewatch old seasons, were possibly the worst television ever made. Cheaters is a better show than the Simpsons. The fucking Bachelorette is better.Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 12:03 amThis is some hipster contrarianism but at least you didn't go with the obvious 'The Simpsons was never good' so 7/10 for effortGuest wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 11:45 pmShow was garbage pretty much after the first three or four seasons.
Fuck the Simpsons and it's "Harvard" writers. It makes the Cleveland Show look like high art and you're gay for liking it, bitch.

Re: Hollywood Rape General
It really is. The man and his proclivities were known for YEARS and people are just now acting like this is completely new information. He went to court twice. Chris Rock made jokes about him. South Park made jokes about him. Family Guy made jokes about him. All the kids at my school made jokes about him. I made jokes about him. EVERYONE knew he was a fucking paedophile and they're just now getting upset about it, after he's died and there's nothing you can do about it.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 9:17 pmThis such tiresome performative bullshit.

But that was all before Listen and Believe (tm). And his death.
And I wonder... what about The Wiz? On one hand, it features Micheal "The Unperson" Jackson. On the other hand, it is the wokest - aka best - rendition of The Wizard of Oz. Banning that movie would be a victory for Trump.

The sad truth (or the hilarious truth depending on how you want to look at it) is that they can't unperson Michael Jackson. He's so ingrained in popular culture that you just can't erase him. His music has been tremendously influential and broken sales records for decades and he's renowned internationally as pop superstar. No amount of social signalling on Twatter is going to get rid of him and really it would be pointless to try.
