Getting as fat and disgusting as Rich Evans while being totally sober is an alien concept to me. What in the fuck do you do with the hours of the day that you're awake and sober that you can't burn a couple thousand calories? To get fat all you need is to consume more calories than you spend. The average adult caloric expenditure is about 2500/day, but lets say you're lazy and work a desk job, and assume that reduces it by 10%, to 2250/day. Depending on your diet, it's pretty easy to have surpassed that by lunch, specially if you drink a lot of soda. Everything over that becomes fat and gets you more and more rotund every day, and it's not easy to lose the fat even if you adjust your diet (without exercising, you'll actually lose muscular tissue before the body understands it needs to burn the fat reserves it accumulated for those lonely, long winter nights where the food is scarce).
