Maybe as an ebin promo that you pay for. The original release itself was part of a triple feature with movies based on preexisting properties (Toei Yugioh and Dr. Slump).
Toei could keep schedules tight. The original four Digimon series all aired back to back within a week of each other.

I thought the prequel was an OVA but I don't mind being wrong since unlike others I was never impressed with Digimon and honestly except for Twitter, no one else has.

Speaking of Pokemon, what is even the current status of this Horizons anime? Are Suede and the other autists all for it, or is the studio already working on Ash movies?
