Not because it is but because they have figured out countless of tricks and taken up advice to get shit done.

You're right, of course, but I'm wondering specifically (and somewhat rhetorically) about people who put shit online these days. Seems every fucking video on YouTube ends with two minutes of "wow, this took me a long time to put together you guys please like and sub and blahblahblah." That shit used to be looked down upon, but it seems to have crept its way to just being standard candle.

And I could see three reasons why they're doing it:

1. Subtly tell your fanbase that you only want to hear lavish praise ("This kinda sucks... but she worked so hard on it...")
2. Invalidate detractors ("But I worked so hard on it!"). Bonus points if you also hammer in the fact that you offer all of your quality content for "free" ("I work so hard to provide you all with free entertainment, and this is how you thank me?!").
3. Set yourself up for failure so that blame your dwindling metrics on "The Algorithm" (tm) for that sweet victim status ("I worked so hard on it, but the FUCKING ALGORITHM WON'T GIVE ME THE VIEWS I RIGHTFULLY DESERVE!")
