Okay but whats the plot?

• Bad Guy shows up (after painfully long teasing) to take over/destroy the world/galaxy/universe/multiverse
• Linkara and Bad Guy fight
• Linkara gets his teeth kicked in, either forced to flee or having the Bad Guy conveniently leave
• More annoying build-up
• Linkara and Bad Guy fight again
• Linkara pulls out new Power-Rangers-related form out of his ass
• Linkara wins

Rinse and repeat.

Also every single one of Linky's villains will get into a long-winded dialog during the initial fight where they always plead their case that they are not really evil and what they are doing is for the greater good. Linky will always agree that their motives are good and yes what they are doing is not necessarily evil but he has to stop them anyway because they are evil and evil is dumb.

He does this because he expressed long ago that he's totally into villains that aren't inherently evil and that their goals are for the greater good but they just go about it in the wrong way. This extends into his writing to because that's exactly what Lord Vyce was

Well, at least he's not also stealing the typical shounenshit trope of the dying villain revealing how he only ever wanted a hug so that the protagonist can feel sad about having murdered a complete asshole.

It was inevitable considering how most roles are played by himself.
MechaKara probably takes the cake though, since it's just him with a distorted robot voice. Dude spend almost his entire story arc doing the whole "Soon my plans will come to fruition, and [protagonist] will be powerless to stop me!"-spiel typical for badly written villains.
His fight scenes are even worse. For starters he can't be on the screen with Linkara, leading to "clever" camera tricks. He also likes getting angry, and an angry Linkara has this lovingly screeching voice.

EDIT: Dafuq? In his latest review where he starts with a loving rant at people still bringing up Lightbringer (Sword Interval: Flashback Arc, May 31th 2021 for posterity), he claims he avoids doing webcomic (until Patreon pays him enough) because they are "generally a labor of love" and "done as a hobby" (both also used to excuse his own shitty attempts at making (web)comics).
Does he have like no clue how just about every halfway-successful webcomic is trying to squeeze money out of its fanbase? And that many hack writers start webcomics for the sole purpose of attracting a fanbase to squeeze money out of?
They're really no different from video-making INs. They even pull the old "Slow down your uploads to a crawl once your stupid fans start giving you Patreon money"-trick.
