Yeah, as much shit as people give Seed I’ll never understand Wing being the holy grail. It has sorta cool mech designs, but useless yaoi bait main characters and a hamfisted basic bitch peace story. Seed has the same peace crap (IBO and 00 for life!) but at least has some teeth.
Who knew how much more interesting things could get if you add child soldiers or literal terrorists to the mix.
I think another reason why Wing is so popular is because it's kinda like edgy DBZ with mechs (if Goku and gang were obsessed with Superman IV: The Quest for Peace).
And no wonder the designs were sorta cool, seeing how obviously they draw inspiration from the superior G Fighter Gundam.
As for Seed: Even an inferior remake thing of UC Gundam still has enough UC Gundam to not be entirely terrible.
but zyuranger is really mid tier as a sentai. 5 out of 10 really.
Dairanger is the improved Zyuranger, anyways. They try similar ideas (what with monsters having a human form that's basically an Adam West villain), but Dairanger is just better executed and gloriously violent at time.
Once it stops being a remake of 0079 it gets it more interesting, what with the genocidal factions and crazy super weapons/machiavellian shit.
G is definitely a favorite for me. So far my least favorite has been Victory, and Recog G or whatever was second just for being dull. IBO, 00, and G are my top three non UC.
About seed, you do realize the only thing that people hate about it is Kira Yamato, right?
Really I don’t see the problem with Kira. The “Jesus”Yamato card is played out especially when compared to characters like An Hero Yaoi who do things like self destruct their suit with themselves in it and dive headfirst off buildings yet somehow survive. He’s a weak tier in the class of characters like Setsuna and Mikazuki. Kira definitely isn’t the best pacifist pilot and is a very flawed character, plot armor aside he cucks his friend and the guy who stuck up the most for him (Sai) and even steals the fiancé of his former friend, granted Athrun didn’t seem very into Lacus for whatever reason.
I just hate sheeple. It’s like when you go to a comment section and see something something Diddy or Orange Man Bad, its NPCs picking up the signal and repeating it.
Honestly Dairanger was better, and I still need to sit down and really watch kakuranger through GoGo V but Timeranger to Shinkenger was the best era. Goseiger was boring same with Gobusters but we also got peak series like gokaiger, ToQger,and kyoryuger

Even Japanese-made Power Rangers is still Power Rangers.
I mean it was Power Rangers before Power Rangers anyway, but with far better writing and for the most part better characters. Kamen rider and super sentai were always live action shounen anime and I love that shit. Power Rangers couldn’t even get that right.
