I've seen 600lb Life, his wife is enabling his worst habits and fattening him up to make him dependent on her.

His wife is almost as fat. 600 pound life is full of episodes where you have two people going to see the doctor:

-The superfuckingmegadeathfat 600 pounds life Contestant
-The "smaller" but still omegahellamassive 450 pounds Spouse

And then the doctor will try to broach the subject of enablers, and the spouse gets "deer in headlights" eyes. "What, so you mean you think I'm ALSO fat?" The spouse usually doesn't realize they're also fat enough for the doctor to consider them a candidate for WLS (to save their life.)

I don't think his wife is deliberately fattening him up. They both settled for each other, they're miserable and they drive each other to eat a ton.

Two failures don't cancel their fails out. It generally just gets worse.

This. Guestfag is probably confusing Wingo with Boogie. Smelly Kelly is only like 6 months with Richard and he already made her cry multiple times on stream (I am not making this up), and while it seems like she's the one wearing the pants in their "household" (more like a shitshack), I think their relationship is more like DSP and his horse, or Spoony and his ex-orc - they exist in the same house, but they are almost separate entities.

Imagine you have two crack addicts married to each other. One is totally strung-out, on crack 24/7. The other is barely functional, able to work a part-time job at some shithole, can drive a car and purchase essentials like food and toilet paper.

The second crackhead thinks they are "normal" because they compare themselves against the first crackhead. They think the first crackhead has a drug problem, but that they don't have one.

That's how the deathfat spouses are. They look at their spouse and think "god damn, this is awful and needs to change." But they don't look at themselves and see they are almost in the same situation.
