I know I already shitposted making fun of the singer, but I think his main problem is he's singing way out of his range. A good band would compensate by tuning lower to accommodate him, but this isn't a good band.
Iron Maiden did the same with Blaze Bayley, after Bruce Dickinson left they hired a singer with different vocal range than Bruce did. They made him perform the old songs on live which strained his voice so they had to cancel shows. After a few or so years they kicked him out because he couldn't perform the old songs without fucking his voice.
