It's useless to speculate about it now, but in my opinion an actual good Nostalgia Chick would have gone a long way towards just preventing the collapse of TGWTG. Nostalgia Chick is Doge's biggest mistake. Obviously he regrets it now but how could he have been so retarded and blind not to realize it at the time?

So basically the Nostalgia Chick was a bad idea that should have never happened? It seems like most of the female hires backfired on CA. Lindsay was part of #CTC and was a major part of Chez Apocalypse's crusade to get more support against Gamergate which just divided the site. Marzgurl brought nothing to the table and might have talking shit behind people's backs if that kiwi poster who talked about the behind the scenes of the AT4W movie was legit. Jesuotaku got into drama like the Spoony meltdown and taking Nash's house while possibly blackmailing Mike Michaud. That chick with the goggles did nothing and is only known for camwhoring. Holly covered up Jewrapio sexually assaulting women and was one of the leaders of #CTC. Allison was a major troublemaker who caused Spoony to leave the site and was one of the leaders of #CTC who lied a lot in the document in order to destory Doge and MIke and left out Jewrapio's name in the document to protect Holly. The only female hires that worked out for CA are the actors for NC and their other shows like Rachel, Tamara, Heather, and Aiyanna. They may say stupid things on Twitter, but at least they know how to act professional and don't cause issues unlike a lot of the ex-CA contirbutors.

I think there is no better sign of a bad sci-fi writer than "The confirmation that aliens exist conveniently changed human society into the form I need it to be".
It's like one several sci-fi tabletop RPGs that go "We abolished every religion (except maybe Buddhism) because aliens are real and therefore every faith is a dirty lie (and not because I'm an atheist edgelord who doesn't want to talk about religion)".

That's hardly an original idea, though. It has been long theorized what would happen to traditional religions if extra-terrestrial intelligent life was found, since there's not a single peep about it on their holy textbooks or doctrines. They would probably do some bullshitting post facto to try and justify it, but that certainly would be a hit to their reputations.
