When the game presented mental illness as "screaming idiots locked up in an asylum", and it heavily implies that lil' Curtis wanted to cross-dress as the result of child abuse and a fucked up childhood.

It's a common trope of the left to pretend they are at the bleeding edge of any kind of progressiveness that matters in perpetuity. Anything to do with homos, niggers or - most laughably - women, they will pretend they are on the cusp of a social breakthrough just now.

In reality, the sexual and legal liberation of women, equality for non-whites and acceptance of gays and even transexuals was well and thoroughly done by the 90s.
If anything, they helped to set all of that stuff back significantly.

I know that the USA are more conservative than Europe. But everyday Joe Six-pack knew that the hairdresser guy was super gay, watched black athletes and had black work colleagues and didn't mind slutty women in the right situations.
It was hardly a time of regularly seeing burning crosses in gardens.


In short, Phantasmogoria 2 was not just totally in line with the 90s Zeitgeist but even blasé in its execution. MTV bumpers were edgier.

Unwatchable. The old spoony of 2008 could slap together a review of kingdom of the crystal skull live that's better than this. How could he fall so far? I can only hope this is building up to something and he's slowly building more confidence in front of the camera to finally resume reviewing.
