I always thought "moon runes" referred to kanji only. Also Turks use a Latin-derived script.

LOL, civil script is derived from cyrillic, which in turn was based on Greek script. Since ancient Greek legacy is one of the pillars of the very core of European culture, it's rather ignorant to dismiss it as non-European. If anything, civil script can be a mark of Byzantine ancestry, so at most eastern rather than western (in classical sense).

It does. They call Japanese 'moonspeak' therefore Japanese writing is 'moon runes' and since Japanese characters are derived from the Chinese, those are moon runes too

For Russia it's pretty simple. Even by the most lenient standard of what is and isn't the European continent, just a very small part of Russia is on it.

But by the more important cultural distinction, Russia isn't Europe at all and don't consider themselves European either.
Ukraine is basically just a more devastated Russia.

Greece is European, of curse. The UK still isn't.

Russia though not so much since the major part of its landmass is part of Asia the Continent.

Ukraine I dunno, looks about the same height as Turkey, which is not Europe, except for its province called Berlin.

The important part of its landmass (the part that contains Moscow, St Petersburg and Volgograd aka Stalingrad) is in Europe. The vast majority of Russia's landmass is wasteland, there's nothing there.
