What happened is that she is a woman. As with every woman, she likes to think of herself as being very progressive and inclusive... until progress and inclusiveness started affecting her life. More specifically, until troons started showing up on women's bathrooms and now Mrs Billionaire Howling starts to feel uncomfortable. So she thought she would easily use her money and influence to perhaps make the lives of herself and her fellow cis woman better by suggesting that troons aren't real woman. It didn't really backfire because, like you said, she's got so much money that they can't really do anything meaningful to her. That's why she did it. If she was like Lindsay, TERF Lindsay who likewise hates transsexuals, she'd have kept her mouth shut. If you weren't a fag you'd probably understand that these are not the same movement but rather different movements that, for the purposes of expediency, group themselves under the same umbrella.
