Effort has nothing to do with it. Look, he's been a grifter for a long time, right? He's probably thinking to himself that if he tries to get a proper job and do something else, an employer is going to go 'Where's the work history? Where are the skills?' So he thinks he has no choice but to continue being a grifter because he can't do anything else. He's wrong, which is why it's Sunk Cost Fallacy.
He may be wrong about not being able to do something else but he's correct in his assumption that nobody would pay him what he currently makes.
That is a spending issue.
This. While he's still earning an insane amount relative to what he puts into his kahntent (that is to say, nothing) he COULD go out and get a real job. The issue is DSP is only qualified to scrub floors and earn poverty wages. That means selling his car and the snort fort, and generally downsizing, which he isn't willing to do. Deep down he knows this, which is why he's begged away every last bit of his pride.
He loves lording over the stream chat too much. He'll try to avoid getting a real job for as long as possible, since he couldn't stand not being the most important mofo around.

Its not even a sunk cost fallacy. He never actually invested anything. The effort was extremely minimal, his time isnt valuable, he hasn't developed marketable skills and he sure didn't invest any money.
It was a big, fat gravy train he was lucky to hop on to at the right time and he'd be absolutely golden if he didn't blow his money on gambling, tat and real estate he did nothing with.

He has no actual business, has no means of actually selling his service and isn't in control of any aspect of his gig, except for when he turns on the streaming software.

He doesn't even do the premium access videos thing that every other streamer does, where videos unlock faster if you pay money. "But dood, I stream every day!" Yeah faggot, that's why you have some videos that are recorded ONLY, so people have to pay to get them early or wait a week/however long before they release on a schedule.
He could easily fit another hour of recording per day into his schedule (offline so no shout gouts and no prestream-it'd take an actual real-time hour to record) and sell it for premium access. But he's too goddamn lazy.
The fact he is still allowed to even stream on there is proof of the pig roach luck. Fucker should of had his account locked and banned making him unable to make any money.

I'm guessing they have wanted Phil gone for awhile and his insider was protecting him, and hateful speech is just some blanket shit to get him gone. I know because I got banned from etsy and they gave me the same generic thing. What Phil doesn't understand is he has no legal case, he can't sue twitch because TOS is long and written by lolyers for a reason, because it basically says they can do whatever to you and you have to take it in the ass because you signed.
