Re: The Other people on Channel Awesome
It started out as an epic Sk8r channel til it shifted to modern gaymer culture, the true downfall of society.

What could she have possibly worked on? A reminder of her "art" style.
Fits right in to a Celtic RPG.

Our Keltic Kween is literally the last one in the credits. Guess she's the token 'sensitivity reader'.

Re: The Other people on Channel Awesome
I like how they had to make up a card-based exploration system to justify having those stupid poker cards.
I also like the authentic Celtic lass with the afro and the goggles.
"There is anectodal evidence of Africans in the Roman legion"
"Therefore, Europe was full of black people"
Of course they're ignoring that black Romans are still colonizing Romans.
Or that "Against the Fairie Queene" sounds even more colonizing, as fey are probably more native than any mortal.
And now on to better alternatives than this D&D 5e thing that is apparently also has rules for some different system (which they obviously don't have much faith for because why else would you make this also 5e?):
Mythic Britain: Actually set a few centuries after where this Kickstarter is apparently supposed to be set (since the Romans have long been gone and/or assimilated). Assumes a more "historically accurate" version of the King Arthur myth (aka Arthur is a Celtic warlord and Merlin is a druid). Much more low-fantasy than anything with "5e" on the cover could ever be.
Wolves of God: If you absolutely want something D&D-ish. Set even later. Everyone's already converted to Christianity, and the few that aren't are seen as weird cultists. Has one of the more "realistic" depictions of a Cleric (a "Holy Man" who isn't actually allowed to fight people). Generally more low-fantasy than typical d20 stuff, but if you wanna go crazy there are ancient Roman vaults full of mutants.
EDIT: Hang on a sec...

Where back into the darkest parts of the first OGL age.

Judging by the (female?) Centurion of Color, they're probably going by this logic:
"There is anectodal evidence of Africans in the Roman legion"
"Therefore, Europe was full of black people"

That's "Kelticque Kweene, shitlord. Get with the authentic lingo. Our Keltic Kween is literally the last one in the credits. Guess she's the token 'sensitivity reader'.

Re: The Other people on Channel Awesome
What is it with these washed-up Ex-CAs suddenly doing D&D-adjacent stuff? Trying to ride a bandwagon years after it has started rolling?
I swear one of these days PUR is gonna do a "Which D&D monster do you thin best represents me? It's important"-tweet.
I sure wonder if they'll have cut, compressed or otherwise changed scenes so the cartoon has actual pacing (instead of the inane meandering of actors paid to pretend that they are true-and-honest D&D players).
I sure wonder if any jokes have been neutered to make them compliant with the newest in sensitivity research (this first Critical Role campaign is like 7 years old by the time the cartoon came around; what might've been okay back then might get you cancelled now)
I sure wonder if the first few episodes will have awkward retcons to hide the fact that they've unpersoned the one player - and his character - they had a falling out with.
I'm at the edge of my seat, guys.

It's Nalfeshnee, of courseShow
Oh boy, I sure wonder if there's gonna be a difference between a 12-episode cartoon and a 100+ episode podcast with over and order of magnitude more runtime.
