Major LOL here. Because I hate myself that much, I looked up the page counts of different YA books to figure an average. Most are somewhere between 200 to 400 pages long. Even Charlotte's Fucking Web is longer at about 180-some pages.

This is a shameful display. You need a good page count, especially in your first entry of what I am sure is gonna be an epic saga, since that's where your worldbuilding is most important.
Also I think I've probably read Gosebumps stories with a larger page count.

One of the few books I can think of right now that's shorter is "Of Mice and Men". Of course, that book was not part 1 of a larger "saga", it was not Steinbeck's first book, and most importantly, peeRod is no John Steinbeck.
