See, if only he were less of an absolute retard. He could have argued that a slower rate of fire leads to less muzzle jump which makes it less likely that the barrel will climb off target when firing. For example, when the US military adopted the Thompson Submachine Gun they requested that the rate of fire be reduced from ~800 rounds per minute to ~600 rounds per minute, to make the weapon more controllable as well as to conserve ammunition
