I'd pity him more if his frustrations had any introspection in them. That is, if he were talking about stuff like having wasted his young adult years on what turned out to be largely a pipe dream ect, ect, actually internalizing that reality check, then yeah, better late than never. But that's not what he complains about. No, he complains that "creators" feel pressure to "create," about his audience not liking the right kinds of bideos, about how YouTube shows him stats that make him feel bad, how the system needs to change to better "support" "creators," and junk like that. Nothing that he can act on or do anything with to improve his own situation, and certainly nothing about how making bideos might not be the right path for him on the whole. I believe he's brushed up against it once or twice, but it's never quite clicked in his head, I don't think.
