Highlander: Pariah

It is time, everyone, to dive into the most hidden gem ever crafted by @TheSpoonyOne.
The (no doubt) cerebral tale we are tackling this time is a Highlander fanfic. It is also the only fanfic of his known to have survived the ravages of internet time.
You see, to my knowledge he has written at least half a dozen fanfics, but a serious of classic Spoonian blunders have ensured that only one ended up properly archived:
Next Time: The prologue. Apparently it involved booze!

- He did have a presence on fanfiction.net, but thanks to mean people leaving mean reviews he deleted fucking everything and ran for the hills. Some things just never change.
- So now everything was uploaded on a long dead version of his site.
- And just to make it extra retarded all fanfics were uploaded only in PDF form.
- In another instance of classic Spoonyisms, apparently no effort was taken to properly format these PDFs. I mean, look at this shit:First PageShow

I don't think "Dexion" is a real name, but at least it's not yet another MacLeod.Synopsis wrote:He is Quintus Artorius Dexion. . . and he cannot die. This fiction follows all original characters in a new, exciting story of tragedy and heroism stretching across the ages.
So you haven't seen the movie at this point? JFC.Preface wrote:About 5 months back I started writing a fiction involving all-original characters, set in the Highlander 'verse.
I'm not exactly an obsessive fan, and I've only seen a scant few episodes of the television series.
Makes sense for a Highlander fanfic I guess. 'Cause those people tend to lose their heads when they meet.So I feel obligated to mention that the only continuity this fiction follows is my own. No established characters or concepts from the movies or series are used herein, save for perhaps the notion of "Watchers."
Well, it's not like the official continuity ever made a lick of sense...I mention this because the Pariah story should be viewed ostensibly as an alternate universe, and you should look at the story being told with fresh eyes, as if the movies had never happened and the story were being told over from the beginning.
So no mention of rape?! Nice!As a second preface, I don't consider this fiction to be vulgar or crude, and certainly not pornographic.
Can't be any worse than Angel Armor - which doesn't have an official age rating, now that I think about it.However, we are talking about a fiction in which the characters' ultimate goal is to decapitate their opponents. There will of course be violence and occasional strong language. I'm no expert, but I'd probably rate it in the PG-13 to R range, depending on your sensibilities.
Well, I already fear that the main character is a self-insert, but as long as he's not a smug asshole it should be fine. It's been a while since I've updated the fiction because of schoolwork, but the work has not been abandoned, and I feel this is a really fun story to tell. I hope you enjoy it.
