Dude created a hitpiece on every youtuber he wanted to label a nazi and at first trimmed the video's Wendigoon section after Wendigoon acted like a class act southern gentleman which threw the dude for a loop. Then he deleted the video wholesale after that didn't stop it.

The funny thing is Wendigoon is big in horror tube and he started following In Praise of Shadows... because he genuinely liked one of his videos. A normal functional adult could have contacted Wendigoon and worked that into a cross promotion opportunity and boost his profile and potentially make those extra dollars... Instead, Mr Shadows here took that as evidence that Wendigoon was coordinating a targeted brigading on him.

The video also has Mr Shadows bitch about having to walk half a mile, and didn't like that one guy enjoyed a convention that he himself hated, and was confused how two people can have two difference experiences. The dude is cringe and it was actually hilarious that he could have had an inroad to Wendigoon's much larger reach and audience if he talked to the dude like a normal fucking human being instead of going "OOH! I can cancel him for clout!"

I saw parts of this happening on Twitter and didn't understand the full story. The parts I saw definitely showed him as retarded

Everyone is dunking on that idiot, hopefully he'll delete the channel and/or himself next.

My only issue with Wendigoon is that he made that one video about the Bible and it was so retardedly fundamentalist and ill-informed that not even most fundy theologians would agree.

That sounds extremely triggering. I read way more Wholly Babble in my childhood than I'm comfortable admitting and if there's one thing I can't stand, it's people who talk about the Bible without knowing anything about it.

I don't expect someone in apologetics to agree with my hardline opinion that all letters of St. Paul are fake and straight up plundered from Marcion's Gnostic schools. Although they absolutely fucking are.

But when even the ultra Catholic theologians, the super conservatives outside of the norm for even theologians, admit to more fakes than some civilian dunce, that's pretty far out.

What I'm saying is that he doesn't even have a shallow, apologetic scholar's understanding of it. Which is fine for a regular believer in principle. But don't speak with authority about it and pretend you're anything more than a "Bible says it, I believe it!" moron.

Other than that he's fine. No idea how he stumbled into this much success. Perhaps because he's likely a pretty neat guy to work with, although clearly sub 90 IQ.

Most bible scholars worth their salt will admit to the cobbled-together nature of the text. It's rather obviously taken from a number of different sources and merged into a frankestein's document. Whether or not you believe that was done under divine inspiration is your prerogative. As is your opinion on the way that books were voted in or out of becoming part of biblical canon. But the process is quite well understood. The KJV did not "poof" into existence in full form (with an extra rib?) as a result of jesus' magical zombie powers. The religious authorities of their day established the canon in the same way that all people establish anything: power struggle, consensus and much slapfighting.

But if you're a 75IQ Southern boy, it's all just the Lord's word, ya know?

Again, he seems like a nice guy. It's somewhat refreshing that he's Christian and not some woke faggot. But others making a big deal out of that and asking him about Bible stuff is like watching people crowd around Forest Gump asking those questions.
