That's what puzzles me about DSP too, but then I'm reminded how much people suck - clearly, there are people so pathetic, so worthless, and so stupid, that they find him relatable in some way, and they want to defend him. If there can be a lot of suckers believing in forest magic, flat earth and other stupid shit, who will willingly get scammed over and over, and with DSP doing this for so fucking long, he has managed to trap some of these losers along with the ride.

On top of that, and I'm not asking some autist to try to count that, it seems that by all accounts, majority of his income comes from one absolutely deranged "fan". Wings of Reeedemption doesn't have a whale, so apparently he started working as a part-time delivery driver, because his streamer income doesn't cover his expenses anymore.

There are a lot of broken, sad, lonely, mentally deranged fucks out there and let's players are very good at faking friend sim for money.

All you need is two or three whales and you can make pigroach-tier income.

If those whales aren't completely batshit, they might just enjoy the power they have over a total loser.

You have to be batshit insane to get an idea that you will support some worthless loser and get some sort of power trip out of doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING with it. They aren't tormenting him in any way, they don't do anything with it, all they do is get shit on, as far as I can tell from the little that I know about his whales and their unremarkable tales.

If they weren't donating to DSP, they'd spend that money on funko pops or something else of zero value.

The real problem is welfare states giving free money to autists.

Maybe this is some kind of perverse social experiment: take a self-absorbed loser who is dumb enough that he is his own worst enemy, give him enough money that he can stay afloat despite his best efforts, and see how things develop.

So basically a Truman show?
