What was the moment you feel public opinion started to sway back to Doge again?

Others have already told you that the moment came when people realized that the accusers were all lying manchildren, but the truth is different:
The real moment it was over for #ChangeMyTampon was when the Nostalgia Critic audience actually watched their terrible content, realized it was all unbearable garbage, and went back to their I was frozen today! and Of course! memes.
On top of that, Obscurus Spinster & Co. lost part of their already miniscule audience by telling people to go fuck themselves and die jumping off a bridge if they dared not hating Doge Walker enough.

If Doge wants a revival when it comes to popularity and views, and simultaneously deliver the finishing blow to these losers, all he needs to do is attaching himself to the Critical Drinker.
Like it or not, this is the anti-woke era, and he is the new Bimmy.
Just tell Brad to shut the fuck up about Trump, and let the money and views roll in.

I think for most people it was a creeping process.
Most never read the document and weren't even really aware of the biggest accusation of covering for a rapist, let alone knowing details about it.
They just saw a massive exodus and hear it was because of bad things and that there's "receipts".

And then they just passively witnessed all of the people that left behaving like hateful, bitter losers, being absolute cunts to seemingly everyone on twitter on a daily basis.
Conversely, they saw Doge continue being the upbeat idiot that doesn't take himself too seriously.

Then OneyPlays happened. Doge could take a joke, the bitter idiots could not. People finally looked the original grievances up, got told it was all bullshit claims, readily believed it because they all have been total assholes on social media for years at that point.


Imagine you are just vaguely aware of some past drama but never cared to look into it.
Now you see Linkara being still platinum ultra championship edition DX+ assmad over the timeles and hilarious running gif.

Meanwhile, Doge laughs at himself over the "Build that Wall!" parody yell in the viral Zack Trump imitation and appears in Smiling Friends as a self-parody.

Add to that that everyone anywhere always liked Doge better than any of the loser squad anyway and it just clicks.


It doesn't help that the only actual successful leavers, Lindsay and Furious Fernando, show absolutely no support to the Losers Club.
If not even Lindsay Ellis - a cancel pig through and through - supports you, how flimsy must those claims be?!

I've been around since 1.0 and got really involved sometime during 2.0. DHI is built on TGWTG/CA shit talking. I can safely say that there have been very few people and pretty much nobody regular at any point that actually hated Doge.

Made fun of him, thought he was a moron, though he was a grifter, terribly mismanaged things? Yes, all of that!
But actually hated or despised the guy? Pretty much unheard of.

You can be kind and say that his heart is in the right place. You can be mean and say he's too stupid to be evil. But you'd be hard pressed to claim that he's generally intentionally malevolent. That's a retard take.

Incidentally, that's exactly the retard take that all these other people that left CA have, who also act intentionally malicious all the time.

While it may seem odd that DHI took ostensibly Doge's side during CTC, the motto is "DHI is always right!", not "DHI always takes a side!".
Just as always, we got vindicated way too late by normalfags. But it always happens. With Doge, with DSP (escort saga especially), with Boogie and so on.
It was just a matter of time for everyone to catch up.

Doge's comeback is also fueled by the fact that his onscreen attitude changed considerably from what it used to be. He left the arrogant edgelord persona behind and updated his review style from comedic recaps to a genuine analysis of the film's themes, strengths and weaknesses.

Remember that Christmas with the Kranks video where he ruthlessly mocked his audience for wanting him to do simpler reviews again? I don't think that would happen now.

In addition, I think people respond well to the family atmosphere he tries to foster for Channel Awesome, much like with early 2010s Cinemassacre. He and Heather have a dynamic on Twitch, they have in-jokes and ongoing discussions. He comes off as accessible and real.

Linkara, ironically enough, has had the opposite evolution. He's gone from a self-appointed mediator and generally calm figure to an intensely bitter and spiteful man.

He used to be somewhat self aware in the early days (at least enough to mock himself in the crossover reviews), but now he oozes ego.

His show is also completely stagnant, because he refuses to change anything about it. Fuck's sake, he still uses that Ancient Egypt running gag. I'm pretty sure that joke is older than my brother.

I think it's generally the case that you can only be unlikable so long until people stop feeling sorry for you no matter what.

I don't think Doge's audience ever really took that aggressive a dip.

He just kept chugging along. The biggest factor is none of the ChangeMyTampon people were talented enough to really foment an exodus, if anything, folks were happy the site was easier to use.

The only move they had was trying to get Lindsay to do a 2 hour video on him, and she never did, because she hates Lupa, too.
