First off, let me say this. Spoony never gave people "years of videos for free" he had ads on his website and his videos. The old addage of "why get mad when he gave you stuff for free" is invalid from the start. Secondly, Spoony was an asshole to his fans, The patreon people is a whole separate issue, and they have EVERY right to be upset because he stole their money. Patreon is a give and reward system. People give money and according to the rules, the person is obliged to reward those who gave them money. Spoony did not reciprocate on ANY of these rewards from all records outstanding.

Then we have the matter of his nonpatreon fans. They're angry because he shut them off and tuned them out. You said spoony doesn't care. Well your right, and thats why people are angry. He turned off all outside communication except for twitter, he complains every day about all these maladies but at this point its the boy who cried wolf. Fans have been scared for his life one moment, then watch him turn around and post goofy shit or complained about politics. This is not a good way to make friends and influence people. Google spoony and you will find any number of former patreons who will talk about just exactly he's done.

You are right about another thing. People refuse to move on. They want an explanation for what happened. Some have acted in the right way. Spoony's patreon plummeted from 5k a month to what it is now. His behavior has only changed because its been forced to change. Still people flock to him, because they hope with a fools hope that maybe, possibly, he will do something they like.

I admit, Spoony is still funny on his livestreams. He wasn't for a long time. He lashed out at people on his livestream, he sat in silence, and he did not engage. That's not a good way to make entertainment. Even his livestreams are not "free" entertainment. He still has ads on youtube, he had ads on his website, and he had to take them down. You say you never paid a penny, but you did, unless you used adblock.

In the end, it is sad to say Spoony's brand of entertainment is slowly disappearing. His website is going defunct, his videos on there no longer work. He can barely monetize with the way youtube has changed and he lost the one support network he once had because of his own actions. People archive what they can because they now have a nostalgia for what was because they see what is coming.. Spoony has become an example of how to not do the internet. Now people have a right to defend him too I suppose. Fans have been shit to him in the past and he has his fair share of trolls like everyone famous on the internet now does. I would argue that lead to some of Spoony's current problems, but he contributed too.

You talk about people who are still supporting him, those aren't the people who are complaining. Some are supporting him just to try to warn others away, others are trolling. I can't defend that. Its stupid but its the internet.

You are right, he has a right to do what he wants with his life, but he's still on the internet, he's still putting himself out for criticism without allowing communication. He still hasn't fulfilled any of his promises, and at this point, he likely never will.
