Are those channels saying they are able to live a pretty fancy lifestyle doing so based solely on YouTube views or are they counting things like Patreon?

As far as I'm aware they don't have a Patreon or merchandise. They do have sponsored videos (hims, Nord VPN, etc.) and I'm not sure what difference that makes. Of course they could be lying a bit and maybe they get $90K from their rich parents every Christmas or their wife is an orthodontist or something.

It just seems like channels with similar engagement can make way different amounts.

This is true but you have to consider that the larger audience usually still wins. Because it means a larger pool. A larger pool means a greater likelihood of locating what I like to call "whale viewers." These are the idiots who get baited into the fake friend simulator bullshit and spend massive amounts of money to support their favorite khantent creator.

Sure, you can have a smaller audience and make more money, by building a cult where you drive away all casuals. But a large channel can have just as many "whale viewers" as a small channel, and make even more money. Because the large channel has all those whales, but they also retain the passive income from a larger casual audience.

Most channels on youtube, big or small, which primarily seek to obtain money have alternate money siphoning methods. This goes for large channels as well as small. Those who don't are missing a trick, for sure. I just checked and I don't see a paymetons for Doge. Sounds like he needs more DHI advice! The first rule of draining your cucks is you never stop sucking their money dry! YouTube + Paymetons is a classic khambo because it works so well. You get the youtube adbucks and superberries from casual viewers, while the whales are funneled into a dedicated monthly drain.

I swear, these e-celebs should just hire shitposters on DHI to manage their income streams. Paymetons could double his income passively while changing very little about his workflow. It's not as if e-celebs are known for fulfilling paymetons awards in timely and efficient manner.

The Normal Boots site is basically just a backup-URL. At least twice so far, whenever YT made some announcement that would totally ruin content-creation for cash forever, they half-heartedly tried to turn NB into something more CA-like, with videos being uploaded a bit earlier or something.
Then they always lose interest. Mainly because no one's watching, 'cause the big death-of-content-creation announcement turns out to have been blown out of proportion.

It's more nobody bothers to watch videos on other sites that aren't Youtube for the most part. The only exceptions are Twitch for livestreaming and Tiktok for short videos. Nobody is going to bother going on people's websites to check if a new video is up.

I imagine CA hasn't done a Patreon because of the controversy with the Pop Quiz Hotshot Indiegogo. A lot of people believe they committed fraud with that thing just because of Lupa and Lordkat said so and that the show looked cheap. So it would probably be a bad idea to do Patreon when they can just stick with their livestreaming on Twitch.

Just so. It's important to keep the free khantent available for the casual viewers. Those casual viewers will still be paying you a steady drip-feed of ad revenue and the occasional superberry. That's what Mark didn't understand. You can't piss off everyone all the time, intentionally, and expect no response.

BUT if you introduce a paymetons or direct donation option and you "suggest" fans visit it... Maybe you offer some minor incentives that barely cost effort (like an early upload of a video that you already had filmed and set to upload), then the whales will go to your paymetons and they will pay up.

Streaming is another good choice. Doge wouldn't have to do streams every day. Once a week or even once a month would provide an opportunity for attention whore whale viewers to throw money at him to get their names/retarded messages onscreen. He could cap the minimum donation at two dollars like DSP does. Then sit back and read donos for six hours or whatever.

Jim used to have entire streams reading superberries and nobody (except us) got annoyed.

As for Pop Quiz Hotshit, that was years ago. For all we know, Doge's current jewtube viewerbase are zoomers who don't remember. The hardcore cuck viewers certainly don't care.

Doge really needs better management. YouTube was a good first step. But now it's time to lock in that sweet paymetons social security. And establish some weekly/monthly streams where he can milk his whales for a nice lump sum.

I seriously doubt any of these moves would cause ill will (among his fanbase,) considering every popular jewtuber is doing it. There are channels covering pet snakes who have this exact money scheme and people love them.

You can either read superberries or paywall!
You don't get to do both. You also can't paywall everything. You have to give away for "free" as much as is necessary. I put "free" in quotes because if what you do is monetizable, it's not for free. Whatever you make and gets demonetized, you'd obviously put it behind the paywall as well. So there's no unpaid stuff, except for when you got blacklisted, like Sam Hyde.

I don't think that's scummy either. If you have a product people would buy, why not sell it?
The problem with the vast majority of INs is is that they don't offer such a thing.
