I do enjoy blaxploitation. I just don't enjoy fakes as much, despite it having some funny moments. It's the misdirected honesty that makes The Room hilarious and spoof movies crappy. Same reason Hobo with a Shotgun is hot garbage.

See, I agree with you about Hobo with a Shotgun and fake bad movies, but I felt Black Dynamite was just full of love for the genre and tried to be as faithful as possible. It didn't have too many memes. Most of the references were to old '70s era blaxploitation films you wouldn't recognize unless you were a fan. Like the Rudy Ray Moore rhyming rap.

References aren't funny, though. It's the unintentional shit or intentional ridiculousness executed with honesty that's funny about blaxploitation and other "so bad it's good" stuff.

Black Dynamite had its heart in the right place and was made with some skill, so I appreciate it for what it was, even if it wasn't particularly good. Saw it once and haven't thought about it once until this thread.
