Don’t even get me started on Yaoi Wing. It’s the prime example of that shit and one of the most overrated series in the franchise. Although Trowa and Quatre were pretty homo, the scene in the finale where the former carries the latter out of the ship in his arms screamed faggotry.

This was the first reason.

Second reason was that it was the first anime in Burgerland on TV to pretty much not have the stupid localization that was in other prior anime brought here. They only translated the scripts from Japanese to English and let Ocean do the Voice acting. That's it. They kept the music, names, everything else intact. Some scenes were cut or tweaked depending on what time it aired but not enough to completely change the series.

So the weebs latched on to it as if it's the great even though Gundam fans consider it one of the weakest of the franchise.

I actually rewatched it 3 years ago and I will defend the first 2 thirds of the series. It's awesome especially the characters. Except Wufei, he sucks the whole series. The last third is bad, rushed, and a mess. With Zechs taking over Epyon, it was boring especially the characters.
