So the fact that they are willing to accept any slop coming out of Star Wars when they’re far more critical and autistic about the slop coming out of Star Trek isn’t the least bit hypocritical?

And it’s hardly lukewarm. It’s more likely they’re okay with whatever Star Wars brings out because they aren’t as invested as they are in Star Trek. It paints more of a picture of a willingness to accept garbage because it’s not Discovery or Picard. I don’t consider being “lukewarm” because they can’t find the urge to be critical about stuff they don’t have a stake in to be good or positive After all I can do the same with shit I don’t care about like modern marvel. And people would say I’m only being lukewarm and okay with whatever they make because I don’t really care unless the “DEI woke shit” is in stuff I care to be autistic about and that’s how it comes off when you see them shrug off Star Wars while pouring all their venom into Star Trek

Well, I disagree with RLM in the first place considering I also believe that the prequels are better than all the slop Disney has been bringing out. Which the new Plinkett video was all about claiming that the prequels are still worse than shit like the acolyte, and how it’s dumb for people to defend the prequels now.

But you can clearly see the difference and that’s why I keep bringing up Star Trek because when it’s something they are truly passionate about they’ll harumph harumph about everything they say “ it’s laughably bad but I’m okay with it.” When it comes to the stuff they aren’t passionate about..

There is nothing lukewarm or positive about such a dismissive opinion based on the fact that you’re not invested enough to care. Like you keep coming out and saying you expect Star Trek to be better but then you keep saying. you don’t expect anything out of Star Wars so that you’re just fine with whatever they put out to the point that the stuff that matters to you in one franchise doesn’t matter to you in the other. They may as well be saying. “These shows aren’t bad. Don’t let people stop you from watching something average to awful,” most people would call that shilling Disney wars and the plinkett video didn’t exactly shy away from that either. Even if you want to argue that the video and their reviews are them just sitting on the fence and not leaning either way we know their opinions on Star Trek and certain other franchises which means that their attempts to remain unbiased fence sitters makes them look even more guilty as Disney Wars shills

I mean, how does it look when you see them saying “I’m fine with lesbian black couples and lore that makes George Lucas look like a better writer when it came to the prequels because it wasn’t written by him. However, if they did this shit in Star Trek Picard.or anything post discovery I would throw an absolute fit of outrage and not put up with this bullshit out of principal.”
