I think Linkara did a Baywatch reference mixed with a reference to the old man Phelous uses in his reviews sometimes. At least it's the only way that tweet make sense considering Lupa's been reviewing Baywatch since 2014.

That is certainly the joke that Linkara is trying to go for, but he fails hard because Phelous' "Old Man" meme is about the Old Man muttering "It is completely useless now" at the sight of stuff getting wet, not the Old Man himself becoming wet.
It's like making a Chuck Norris joke were Chuck Norris is the one to get roundhouse-kicked.

(And yes, it brings me great shame to know Phelous most famous of memes.)

He reviewed some low-budget Beauty and the Beast animated movie adaptation were Belle's father had a bigger role than in say the Disney version.

The dude became Phealous' Old Man not only because of his funny voice, but because of one scene were they lose their remaining fortune when a storm nearly wrecks their trading ship. All the spice became ruined with seawater, which prompted the "It is completely useless now" line.

For some reason this was so funny to him that he used it in pretty much every future review where H20 is involved.
