The fact James had to separate all the videos from the main channel because apparently the algorithm is killing the Kill Count episodes is funny as fuck, he refuses to think that its because his viewers are losing interest. His lack of wanting to do 4:3 is also stupid because some movies are stuck on dvd in 4:3. I know someone like Brad Jones is more obscure now than James, but at least Brad covers shit that he wants to. Him and his wife haven't shilled out that garbage movie they were working on lately either, so I wonder if they are even still making it.

I know the latter love putting on graphics to fill in the sides, but I generally turn those off because I find that shit distracting.

It's usually anyone who happens to be getting into a specific form of media, or anyone born after 1999 I think have that problem where they won't watch shit if it has black bars, grain, or any form of damage to the frames.

I think it does affect how you see the film, but it's not something I take as an automatic negative. It's like colour correction - doing it a certain way will have a certain effect. Whether it's positive or negative depends on the film.

Not all media is made for 16:9 aspect ratio, most people will understand if you explain it to them and they aren't retards about it like the otakus are to DBZ, but some people are straight up elitists for some reason and demand it in the stretched format. For someone like James, he just doesn't want to have to adjust the settings in his copy of Adobe I think.
