Re: Movie Thread

Did you ever hear the bit that Lee turned down the role of Dr. Loomis and regretted it? I love Donald Pleasance and would never replace him but love to imagine the alternate universe where we got Lee in that role. My favourite part of this is imagining Lee ranting about the Halloween sequels like h...

Re: Movie Thread

To me, the perfect version would be Coppola's Dracula, if it had Christopher Lee in it instead of Oldman

Re: Movie Thread

I like the actors, but the rest of the film around them is extremely weak. The direction was old-fashioned even for the time.

Re: Capeshit thread (comics and movies)

Not getting Hugo Weaving or Laurence Fishburne to return still seems insane to me. That's just telling the audience that you don't want their money.

Re: Movie Thread

I rewatched the TRON movies. Both of them are great. The original is a very old-fashioned fantasy adventure flick. A Chosen One enters a strange magical world under tyranny, has to go to the evil tower to defeat the big bad guy. David Warner gets to play three different villains. Jeff Bridges is lot...

Wtf happened to Jontron

Why is his Youtube channel so shit now? 1) I get that his brand of humour is maybe not for everyone and 2) He changed his format after Flex Tape But his videos are so blatantly shallow cash-ins now. Cinemassacre puts in more effort nowadays than Jontron. At least James still reviews stuff. Jon just ...

I have no idea if the content of the Coppola movie is "problematic".
It's the opposite, actually. Shia LaBeouf is explicitly framed as a Trump caricature, and hanged as part of establishing Adam Driver's utopia.

Coppola wrote a Shadow the Hedgehog self insert more or less about how his self insert saves the world.

It's entertaining though, weird and campy.
Not being up on my Sonic lore, how exactly does Shadow the Hedgehog fit into this?

Re: Movie Thread

It is what you would expect it to be - a vanity project about Coppola's interests and his pretentious attempt to have a magnum opus.

The thing is, it is that... a million times over. It is INTENSELY that. It is so so so much that.

Re: Doge Walker and Channel Awesome

something that's baffled me for the past few years is why Doge has these two review shows: "Untitled Review Show" and "Doge Reviews". As far as I can tell, the only difference is that Untitled Review Show features trailer clips. Other than that, they're both literally just Doge talking about the mov...
