Reading the thread, it's mostly about how she regrets being a nobody now and not going beyond Blip. So pretty much what's going through the heads of everyone who was ever on that site, except for Joe, he actually got on YT early and made an audience.

It's something I go back and forth on with my own little e-celeb experience. If someone offered me the opportunity to go back ten years so I could try this thing again, I'd have to seriously think about it because there's always been this part of me that's thought I would have been one of the big guys if I'd made it onto TGWTG. I actually had some decent numbers back in 2011, apparently rivalling what the mid-tier TGWTG members were getting from what I've heard, and if I could do that on my own, what could I have achieved with access to a ready made audience that size? Especially now that I have all the knowledge of what works and what doesn't. But that's just wishful thinking, I can't go back and I'd lose a lot if I did.

So yeah, Kaylyn, everyone regrets their missed opportunities. Even the big stars have things they wish they could go back and change. Just work out how to make the best of your current situation. You have a name some people recognise and remember, make something that people will want to watch and then you'll be able to get your audience back.

Maybe she should just do fucking anime reviews like Bennet does. He has 73k subs and his views for his sub count are pretty good since they seem to average 50k for his main series. I don't know what his numbers were on TGWTG, but he wasn't super popular so I don't think his numbers are lower than what he got during the Blip days.

But that still isn't all that great. The thing is plenty of anime reviewers are popular on youtube, a lot of movie reviewers are popular. But here's the fucking kicker, the new breed of internet reviewer who replaced these guys were almost all inspired by Plinkett. They don't do the ranty angry shtick and actually review what they talk about and analyse it rather than go through scene by scene. There content isn't just stale for people like us, it's straight up dated and fucking old. No one does that shit any more, Plinkett changed everything and yet these fucks stayed in their little bubble on TGWTG and didn't see the change coming. YMS has over 700k subs yet in 2009 he would have been a complete nobody. Glass Reflection was a TGWTG Reject who was friends with JesuOtaku prior to her joining TGWTG, but after not getting on TGWTG he upped his production values (another thing these fucks haven't done), presented himself better and actually reviewed shit (not ranting) on YOUTUBE, and he now has 500k subs.

The reason why Lindsay makes money and these other fucks are irrelevant is that she changed her style in 2011 to be more analytical rather than doing the Nostalgia Chick gimmick. She was sick of reviewing that way and did what she actually wanted, and in the long run that paid off. Lupa still does that snarky crap that was old in 2011, these pricks needed to evolve years ago and they haven't done that, they ran to youtube after Blip died hoping to make money, only to be confronted with a sea of new people who are smarter than them, provide better analysis than them and put some effort into their editing and production. Marzgurl decided to do diet food reviews.

They want to be relevant again? Make reviews of something popular and stick to it. Lupa reviewing some Z grade shit? Who fucking cares, no one is searching that shit, you haven't even reviewed fucking Star Wars 8 you god damn retard. Do you know how many reviews of that shit flooded my recommendations? All of you fucks lurking here should have reviewed that, but I bet most of you didn't. Marzgurl should probably just stick to reviewing anime mostly (and maybe some Marvel shit) since that has a young audience and a lot of young people watch shit on youtube. Don't "angry review" it like a dick, but actually analyse it without showing the whole fucking movie/show. And keep fucking doing it over time to rebuild your audience.

He gets about 10k views on most videos, which sounds good until you realize he has half a million subs and was the face of youtube video game reviews.
