Well, I'm glad you did, because I'm not telepathic. You don't need to start sulking like a girl because I don't read your every feeling.

Anyway, I feel that what you're getting out of the film is simply not the intention of the production team, but merely the result of your own personal bias distorting the events.

The film goes out of its way to celebrate James Bond and everything he stands for, and then some.

Of the three things you mentioned, only one event was designed to humiliate Bond and that's the genital torture. Which Bond endured with laughter, upsetting the villain.

He is quite literally never cucked. Not one woman he sleeps with goes on to be romantic with anyone else.

He dies in the service of his country and MI6, which is the most bittersweet Fleming exit for the character that one could imagine. The film ends with everyone celebrating his life and showing him respect.

At this point, I'd replace the word "paranoid" with delusional. I especially find it funny that you consider me a brand loyalist when this is the first James Bond movie I've liked since World is Not Enough. From 1999. I'm no fan of Royale or Skyfall. But sure, I'm just here for the brand. That's A+ logic right there, man. Bravo.

Excuse me for not keeping up with what movie you specifically mentioned you liked because you apparently like any shit you're served, so I just assumed - rightfully - that you loved the previous Craig slop just as well.

I assume you’re referring to Casino Royale with the ball electrocution. I feel like that’s consistent with that movies tone. Casino is just grittier than the others. Yeah, Bond gets his balls electrocuted, but he’s also cold as hell when he kills some of the goons in that movie.

I found the first twenty or so minutes and the intro of Die Another Day to be *far* more emasculating for the character. Bond fails at his mission, the segue to the intro being Bond getting waterboarded, and that Madonna song that made my ears bleed? Painful.

I heard Phoebe-Waller Bridge helped write that last movie, and that there was a scene when Bond makes a pass at some woman and she is disgusted instead of seduced.
