Did we ever like vibration/rumble controllers as gamers?
I dont remember tbh but for years now the first option I look for when I play with a controller is to turn rumble/vibration off.
I LOATHE it and Im pretty sure its not good for your hands/wrist/arms either.

I never had any opinions on rumble controls when I was younger, usually left them on. As I got older though I turned that shit off.

I'm indifferent. I didn't go out and get a rumble pack but never turned the inbuilt rumble off either

Im ok with rumble, and in fact, i feel kinda weird playing without it. Its one of those things i dont really even notice most of the times, but when i turn it off it gets a little weird.
Sometimes getting a little feedback when you are hit or something helps me while playing in some games.

I find that stuff gimmicky and annoying. Even more annoying is how it quickly became the industry standard to have vibrator mode on by default.
The latter is especially triggering with Cuphead, where at least the PC version has an annoying bug where the controller would sometimes go apeshit and never stop vibrating until you turn off the game. The kicker? There is no option to turn vibrator mode off outside of mods 'n' shit.

I was in awe at the N64 rumble pack.

Yeah, I remember being amazed when the PSX introduced rumbling controllers. Worst controller was the six axis. Trying to play Heavenly Sword (more like Heavenly Titties amirite) was impossible with it on.

This is the first time I've ever really even thought about it.
Huh... What a retarded fucking concept when you think about it.
