What are you playing?

That's skyrim for you. Skyrim is pure shit. It's a good example of a game for DSP types. You follow the marker for 1000 years and wail on enemies. If the enemies get too tough, turn the difficulty down. IMO you can't really "git gud" at the game because the gameplay has zero depth. You summon shit and spam shit and your stats are either good enough or they're not. You either have a bunch of potions or you don't. There's functionally no difference between the different play styles outside of stealth.

Oblivion is far better, you need to download that instead.

I considered installing Oblivion again some years ago but then I remembered how shitty the vanilla game was, got lost with all the thousands of mods which one's I should install (and in which order) to make the game playable, then I gave up. I remember how the artwork was so terrible I just wanted to run away from everything and how the voice acting made me want to murder everyone I spoke to. But there was something that kept me playing, far more than I played Skyrim. Don't remember what it was, it certainly wasn't the main story.

Dood, Oblivion has the greatest and dumbest lines I've ever heard in "action rpg". I still remember stuff like:

This is the part where you fall down and bleeeeed to death!
Assault! Assault! There is a psychopath on the loose!
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than you.
Blow away windbag! (From the convincing "minigame")
Stop right there criminal scum!
Then pay with your bloooood!

Every cucksucking retarded asswipe knows about the arrow in the knee, but that's weaksauce and forced meme at best, it has nothing on the wonderfully hammy and ridiculous lines you hear from Oblivion all the time. In Skyrim, everybody is just dull and boring. I take Oblivion's silliness any time.

Some of the lines:

Dude I've played Oblivion so many times through that I can't bring myself to do anything but install it, play the Dark Brotherhood storyline, and then quit playing. What I mean by playing it, "through," is I mean I did a few quest lines and then started a new character because the scaling difficulty was ass.

There are a few overhaul mods that change the leveling system and the scaling enemies to be far more fun to play around with, though, but I'm too lazy to install a bunch of mods for a game that I play for 30 to 60 minutes at night every day or every other day.

The Elder Scrolls is the Monopoly of video games. Everyone played it and will probably end up playing it again, yet the gameplay is objectively terrible and will most likely see some heavy modding.

Wasn't the gay shit retconned in? As in it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the game, just brought up by the devs after the fact?
I think there's a lesbian dlc where ellie is heavily implied having sex with some other lesbos teen.
Isn't she like 14? They really are all pedos, aren't they?
Real talk: The story would've been dozens of times better if Ellie wanted to fuck Joel.
You've got an Ellen Page lookalike character already, just turn it into Super.

The more I play dark souls 3, the less I like it. Enemies are more spammy and bullshitty and it's super obvious they have infinite stamina. Just compare a typical enemy moveset in fucking bloodborne (supposedly the fast game with all the mechanics to support more frenetic combat) with DS3 and you'll see that even then, Bloodborne enemies have more gaps and pauses in their attacks and less wild flailing.

DS3 feels like a step down even compared to DS2 in pretty much every way. I tried making a fire longsword for my pyro build and they changed shit so fire weapons don't scale with anything now. G fucking G. So the bullshit ice sword I found for free scales just fine, but a fire longsword I crafted with my precious fire gem is garbage. DS2 had a ton of viable builds and this shit feels like trash in comparison. No idea when/if you can even do a hexer build or its equivalent. Supposedly they nerfed sorc builds too.

DS3 makes me want to just play DS2.

DS2 just makes me want to play MonHun. At least in MonHun I have slow combat that emphasizes memorization with an actual fun game behind it.
