Golden Sun games were made by Camelot Co, from former Sonic! Software members(yes, another former SEGA team that Ninty snatched) that made the old Shining games and old Phantasy Star games and part of Camelot also branched and made Climax Ent that made Landstalker and Tenchi no Mon / Key of Heaven for the PSP. However Ninty aquired them along with Ganbarion(Ganbarion now bought their shares back and are independent) and have never let them go ever since, having them stuck in an endless hell of making Mario Tennis and Mario Golf games. Golden Sun was their dream project for portable RPGs and Ninty treats them accordingly : by shitting on them, never aknowledging them beyond some stickers in Smash and having them make a half baked sequel on DS for max shekels.

As for Lufia 2, the DS had an Action RPG remake of Lufia II before the studio closed down and it was largely very good. Much better than most DS Action RPGs at least and didn't have retarded touch controls like Blood of Bahamut nor was it unfun after you beat the game, like with Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles : Ring of Fates. Neverland is now never gonna produce more Lufia games since they got absorbed by MARVELOUS and isntead focus on spreading the members to rebuild Marvelous' former gaming studios. Some members are part of the "1st Studio" team that's being heavily advertised as of late and made Fate / Extella and are in the midst of making Fate / Extella Link and God Eater 3.

Landstalker

Oh god if this is that Isometric Zelda-like on the Genesis then that game was great. Also was not aware that the guys who did Golden Sun had something to do with Phantasy Star.

Side note-- Landstalker is more like Alundra than Zelda, to me, and I can't remember if the people who worked on Landstalker had a hand in Alundra. I need to play both of those games again.

As for Lufia 2,

Golden Sun 1 & 2 is one of my two favorite games ever. Too bad the DS one wasn't that good and I hate Nintendo for not including Isaac and/or Felix in a Super Smash game. They fit perfectly.


Anyone remember Bahamut Lagoon? I think it only realeased in Japan, but some people have translated it. You basically have groups/squads of characters, who then first move as a squad on a grid and when they enter battle, it's turn-based. So kinda like Fire Emblem, but you have a squad of characters and then attack oldschool Final Fantasy-wise.
Every squad has a dragon of a type. You can feed it food and every kind of item to gain stats or changing the dragon to some other type. In the translated version, you could feed it Porn Magz.


I found it during my SNES/GBA-emu craze-days.

Fate / Extella

I wanna cum in OOMOO emperor.
I never finished Fate/Extra on PSP. Saw that Extella was on PC now (and Switch dear god) but I'll prob never play it.

The ratings were good. Likely the usual backlash any popular series gets automatically. Had it been released worldwide we may hear the same remarks about it. You know, how Earthbound was great but the series went to shit and so on.
