Considering I live in Texas, I’ve been hearing about that story a lot lately and it’s awful enough that something like that had to happen because there wasn’t any way to evacuate them or emergency precautions in case of a flash flood like that.

Blacks truly are evil. They only care that there weren’t Black people at that camp and then they have to go and say that all the white people there deserve to die out of petty revenge. Why should we keep having this discussion of wanting equality with these people? I mean, they’re the ones talking about wanting to exterminate all white people into extinction while white people keep trying to be friends with them.. I seriously don’t get why you would wanna be friends with actual literal demons that came from hell itself. That’s probably why they call Africa the dark continent probably because that’s where the gate to hell is. Which in perspective totally makes sense that that’s where all Black people come from.

If there's something I learned about flash floods last year, is that all spheres of government are wholly unprepared for that sort of emergency, specially if it isn't a regular occurrence. Part of that might be because the first responders themselves are affected, but there's also a huge bureaucratic component that slows down the proper emergency response. If you're lucky, volunteers are prepared and can pick up the official response slack by doing emergency rescues and providing some sort of sheltering and relief servic until the sorry government ass is ready to move.

Of course, that precludes any politically motivated neglect, which is an idea so abhorrent, if there's even a hint of that actually happening, people should be hanged from their tits for that.

I'm not a weather expert, but floods seem to be a lot like tornadoes in that you don't know that they're going to happen until they happen.

I've never heard a weatherman say "Expect floods in three days". Instead, it's "We have a 70% of chance of rain in three days with a possibility that it may be severe. It should be here by morning and move out by the afternoon." Some low-lying areas are more likely to be flooded than others and the people who live there know it, but they don't expect it to go this badly.

Maybe there is something that state and local government could go be better prepared for this, but I won't pretend that I know what that is.
