Here's how you cover like a boss:
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Re: What are you listening to?
I like AC/DC, but they seem to be one of the easiest bands ever to rip off.
Speaking of rip-offs, as in bands who've both been ripped off and ripped off plenty of others themselves, I'm in a big Led Zeppelin thing now. I found my old copy of the book "Hammer of the Gods" last week. It's the famous biography that contains every sleazy rumor about the band, from penetrating groupies with fish to Jimmy Page's 14-year-old girlfriend (he was 29) to John Bonham openly trying to rape women in full view of everyone around.
I first read it in 1991. I was 15 and in my "I'm not like the other kids; I like classic rock" phase. Back then "Hammer of the Gods" was a view into this very freaky world. NOW I reread it and it's a pathetic portrait of how fame, ambition, and the ego rush of rock stardom can turn people into monsters. Or at least it can amplify their worst sides.
I DO like the descriptions of the music though. Stephen Davis isn't a great writer. He's a sensationalist vulture, but he does manage to tie the music into the band's insane world at the time and it makes one curious to go back and listen, if only to judge whether you still like them after reading about how slimy they were
My conclusion:
Yeah, I still like Led Zeppelin. They were assholes, but they rocked. Jimmy Page's guitar tone and John Bonham's Godzilla drum sound hog the spotlight to the young listener, but these days I find myself paying a lot of attention to John Paul Jones's menacing bass parts. (The secret weapon of about 75% of great rock bands is the bass player, by the way, from The Who to Nirvana.)
Favorite album:
"Houses of the Holy" because it's arty and mystical, yet also weirdly poppy at times. Also, as far as I know, they were done with stealing old blues songs (and taking credit for them).

Maybe Sarah Wilson will buy the AC/DC cover band's cd too, to show how much she's not like the other basic bitches.

The drum parts are fine, the singing parts are accurate to the band's name.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 6:20 pmYup. They are not on Metal Archives. Gay poser shit for faggots.
