Pretty decent. Was a little too slow for me until that twist, and then it got my interest again. I must watch too many fucking movies because I straight up called part of the ending. But then it ends with a completely depressing revelation before the credits hit.

I liked it. Decent high concept, low budget movie. I wanted more backstory with Frank and his owner, but I suppose that would have been superfluous.

I described it to my friend after he’d seen it as “What if Patrick Bateman had a dog?” I definitely like the turn, I think most people expected an axe murderer in a fur suit. And yeah that ending, Jesus. They foreshadowed it too.

I haven't even watched the movie (i haven't found it with eng or ita subs yet), and i think i figured out the twist simply because of the Patrick Bateman mention.

I assume the guy is too mentally broken or too crippled to run away.
And since you mentioned that the ending is depressing, i also assume that Chad wins.

I'll actually check it out. Looks fun in a fucked up way, like The House that Jack Built.

Looking at the trailer and if my predictions are more or less correct, i would say that the closest movie to this one is Austrian horror Goodnight Mommy (2014).
Like it's often the case, Goodnight Mommy has a recent, inferior burger remake.
Good Boy will likely get a shitty burger remake too, starring Malcolm of Channel Autism as himself.
Another similar movie is probably The Vanishing (1988), which of course also has a terrible remake with The Dude of Great Lebowski as the main villain.

I wish it were that simple as far as Chad winning. You're right about all the other stuff, but it's in the last few minutes, and especially the final shot, that truly matters. It recontextualizes everything that came before it. And I don't think I've ever hated a fictional character worse than this fucker. Whoever wrote this shit probably needs a psych eval.

I honestly don't know if I can truly recommend it. It held my interest for most of its runtime anyway. A mild recommend, I'd say.

The director and I assume writer was the roommate chick ironically. It’s not film of the year for me or anything I’ll go back and rewatch, but yeah that last scene and how you describe it is dead on. If I could rewrite it I’d make it like Wilfred and have the woman going crazy, eventually going all Son of Sam on the chad.

I love how a shitpost about Doge getting AIDS and learning to love life again by walking dogs led to a conversation about this movie. Life finds a way.

Btw for those who watch it, if someone can make me a gif of the part where Frank is peeking around the wall and slowly slides his head out of camera I’ll give you 10bux. I watched this on Amerzon so I don’t have a rip.

I haven't even watched the movie (i haven't found it with eng or ita subs yet), and i think i figured out the twist simply because of the Patrick Bateman mention.

You can watch it on tubitv.com with a VPN set to burgerland. It's "with ads", which means it'll try to play one for half a second a few times.
You haven't really figured out the twist, if one can even call that one, since I didn't get the impression from the trailer that the fursuit guy would be the bad one.

It's worth a watch but not as fun as I hoped it would be. I was really hoping for something more fucked up.
But if you're into awkward social interactions you'll get your fill.

Him being a psychopath was a bit too plain of a "twist" for me.
I was rather hoping that Frank was jealous instead,
telling her Christian was insane to force some kind of self-defence situation getting her killed so he can have his "owner" all for himself or that Frank instead was the wealthy guy forcing Christian into this situation instead.

What I assumed from the trailer was that both are insane and just mess with tinder bitches for shits and giggles to their breaking point and eventually butcher and eat them.

The actual final twist leaves me totally cold. I was so disappointed that there wasn't an actual twist that I couldn't care less for a toddler in a pyjama.

At the very least, if you go with the plain angle of Christian enslaving Frank, he should've been mutilated and absolutely had his tongue cut out.
I can't buy into the premise that a grown man could never have the opportunity to whack him in the head and flee.
