I've never seen an instance where "venting" an extreme emotion did anything to lessen instances of that extreme emotion in the future. Rather the contrary. The more you accustom yourself to "letting off steam" with violent outbursts, the easier it becomes to do so in the future.

Exactly. Not succumbing to toddler rage fits is an essential part to becoming a functioning and happy adult.
One should rather find out what is upsetting to them and figure out a way to avoid those situations or dealing with them in a better way.

Venting autistically isn't empowering. It's pathetic and undignified.
